Yep, can’t wait to test out 3.5 Pro and see how their next wave of Gemini integration into their product suite works

Ironically Gemini is my go to for simple research queries and I would say every day lookups like “where is the best cafe in town?”. Seeing that Gemini 3.5 is now improving on that front with DeepMind’s team in the background is cool. But kinda like you said, no need to change agents or setups now. However I like the fact that it became snappier now (from what I read in other reviews) and with Omni there might be new visual use cases. Great post overall and thanks for sharing your insights!

Thanks Joël - I have noticed the speed improvement, but I think Gemini has always had no issues for me on that front.

My main Gemini use case is similar (daily random queries, plus I really like their deep research implementation). The Antigravity direction will be one to watch - if 3.5 Pro is a big jump up that will be very compelling at the cost point vs Codex or a Max plan.

Yeah I will be playing around with Omni first and look forward to their agentic workforce. I'm also considering buying the Googlebook once it's out. I imagine a lot of what they announced will be in there as well

Very clean, it is a change management issue first and foremost. A lot of rehiring happening with companies misjudging what it takes.

The discipline of shipping weekly forces you to optimize your workflows first and foremost.
